Peak Investing $24 Million In Irvington

Peak North America USA has announced a $24-million project to build a modern facility at 7555 Half Mile Road in Irvington that will provide equipment and services, with a focus on sawmills, pellet plants and OSB plants to the forest products industry. Brian Fehr, CEO of the British Columbia, Canada-based company, said, “By being strategically located in the southern U.S., we will offer state-of-the-art manufacturing and fabrication services related to the forest products sector, while gaining a geographical competitive advantage for our clients. We will create a culture of safety, efficiency, enthusiasm, and inclusivity for all our employees, with the intention of growing operations beyond projected forecasts, and we will use the local workforce and community to do so.” Renovations on the existing facility at the site will begin this month, and operations are scheduled to begin in June. An estimated 175 jobs will be created over the next four years.
