Power And Rubber Supply To Expand In Axis

Tuscaloosa-based Power and Rubber Supply Inc. has announced plans to invest more than $7 million to build a new industrial facility in Axis, expanding its local operations and creating 55 new jobs over the next five years. The company currently operates from a leased facility near I-65. Those operations will be relocated to a newly constructed facility on Salco Road, providing the company with additional space to expand its product assembly, fabrication and maintenance capabilities. The expanded operation will provide power transmission products, conveyor belting, industrial hoses and rubber products, and related services. The facility will also support conveyor belt fabrication, installation and maintenance services. Construction is expected to begin in August, with the new facility to become operational in spring 2027.
