Proplate To Build Factory In Chunchula

Swedish-based Proplate, a provider of integrated production solutions in steel fabrication, will invest $1 million in a new facility in Chunchula. It will specialize in high-quality steel fabrication, including cutting, machining, grinding, painting, blasting and welding. Proplate’s turnkey manufacturing services are used by the construction equipment, wind power and mining industries. Proplate will operate in the same location as G.A. West’s structural steel fabrication facility on Celeste Road. It aims to use its facility to provide local and regional customers with reliable, high-quality steel components and assemblies tailored to their specific needs. The company’s integrated production approach offers full traceability and synchronization with customer processes. The project is to bring 30 new jobs to Mobile County within the first three years.
