United Way Benefits from Austal Charity Golf Invitational

The 10th annual Austal USA Charity Golf Invitational on March 12 raised $286,687 for United Way of Southwest Alabama, Call News reported. The contribution can provide 9,556 months of early-learning services for children from low-income, working families; 57,337 meals for residents facing food insecurity; thousands of dollars in healthcare services; and/or job training for thousands looking to reenter the workforce. Austal USA has donated more than $3 million to the charity in the life of the tournament.
