AAF August Meeting Rescheduled

MOBILE, Ala. — The August meeting for the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Mobile Bay chapter has been rescheduled for September 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Ralph and Kacoo’s in Spanish Fort. The event will feature Ashley Trice and Rob Holbert, co-publishers of Lagniappe, presenting "Print is Not Dead." Lagniappe, Mobile’s independently owned newspaper, is celebrating 20 years of publishing, and the pair will discuss the evolution of the paper from a small biweekly centered around arts and entertainment to a weekly focusing heavily on news and investigative reporting. “If you still feel ‘print is dead,’ they will try to change your mind but also discuss how the (dreaded) subscription model is reinvigorating today’s newspaper industry,” organizers said.
