AWC Accepting Submissions For Contest

The Alabama Writers’ Cooperative (AWC) is accepting submissions for its AWC 2024 Writing Contests. The deadline for submissions is August 1. Categories include flash fiction, horror, memoir, formal poetry, short story, one-act play, first chapter of a novel and free verse poetry. Certificates and cash awards of $150 (first place) and $50 (second place) will be awarded. There is also a prize for the David Eulin White Award for writing on military history, military fiction or military memoir, and with the Roger Williams Peace Award for writing in any genre that best promotes peace.
