Dauphin Island History Video Released

The nonprofit Dauphin Island Heritage and Arts Council has released Island of Plenty, which it calls “a living history video experience that details the rich Native American heritage of Dauphin Island.” The documentary, filmed in November 2020 on the island, features living historians and demonstrators from across the Southeast, along with interviews with area archeology experts. The council has also partnered with the Mobile County Public School System to distribute the presentation in all of its schools’ history curricula.
