Mobile Moviemaker Helps Make VR/AR Theater

MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile-based moviemaker 3rdRealmCreations “is playing a critical role in the first-ever virtual reality (VR) theater, the Megaverse,” debuting this week in Roswell, Georgia, it announced. Megaverse is a combination of the metaverse, advanced filmmaking and VR gaming in a 4D theater environment with rumble floors, wind machines and a “‘ghost’ elevator.” It is the first product from Atlanta-based Exploring Digital, which acquired 3rdRealmCreations earlier this year, combining VR headsets and hand controls with a multisensory haptic experience for up to six players. The company has expansion plans for Megaverse across the country. It has already worked with Emory Healthcare and other large organizations to provide VR and augmented reality (AR) training solutions in the healthcare space.
