Ben Raines To Talk About New Book Virtually

The Alabama Coastal Foundation is organizing a free virtual meeting with local journalist, filmmaker and author Ben Raines, who will discuss the release of his new book, Saving America’s Amazon: The threat to our nation’s most biodiverse river system, at 10:00 a.m. on December 10. Registration is required. The hardcover book will be released on December 15 and is currently the #1 new release on Amazon in its “Ecology” section. It celebrates the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta, while chronicling how it is increasingly at risk, with illustrations and detailed research. Identified by Raines and others as America’s own Amazon, the delta is called the most biodiverse ecosystem in the U.S. The book aspires to celebrate this significant Alabama waterways, while chronicling how it is increasingly at risk.
