EW Wins B2B Magazine Of The Year At Orlando Media Event

Mobile-based trade magazine ELEVATOR WORLD (EW) won the 2026 Nichee Award at the Niche Media Conference in April for Business-to-Business (B2B) Magazine of the Year. Elevator World, Inc. was founded in January 1953 by William C. Sturgeon, partner and president of Mobile Elevator & Equipment Co. From 1953 until 1963, Sturgeon remained with the company while publishing EW. In 1963, after selling his contracting firm to Montgomery Elevator Co. (later absorbed into KONE Inc.), Sturgeon became the full-time publisher and editor of EW. Sturgeon’s daughter, Ricia Sturgeon-Hendrick, is editor and publisher of EW, and her son, T. Bruce MacKinnon, is president and CEO. Products include the flagship EW magazine, the EW SOURCE directory, EW India, EW Türkiye, EW Middle East, EW China, Subir y Bajar, EW UK, EW Europe, an educational/book publishing division, continuing education and certification, multiple email newsletters that reach more than 30,000 industry personnel and an online network of websites visited by more than 900,000 industry professionals each year.
