Ophelia Nichols, otherwise known as Mama Tot, is a Semmes resident and social media influencer who recently won a 2023 Cheer Choice Award: the 2023 Cheer of The Year Award. She was also nominated for the Motivational/Inspirational (over 500k following) Award, according to WKRG. The Cheer Choice Awards is a charity awards show held annually in the U.S. that celebrates positivity on social media. Creators from all social media platforms are eligible to participate. The program’s goal is to raise money for charity through Spread The Cheer USA and various other charities throughout the U.S., while honoring creators who are making a difference using their platforms. Nichols is known for her motivational talks and stories and has 11.5 million followers on TikTok and nearly 430 million likes. On Instagram, she has 505,000 followers.
