SHC Newscast Wins Catholic Media Association Awards

MOBILE, Ala. — Spring Hill Now, the weekly student-produced video newscast from SHC Student Media, won both first and second place in the "Current Events Affecting Student Life-Television" category of the 2022 Catholic Media Association’s student journalism awards competition. This is the third year in a row the Spring Hill College (SHC) group has earned top honors in this category. In this year’s competition, its "4-1-21 Newscast" won first place, and its "3-11-21 Newscast" won second place. Last year, SHC Student Media won the top three awards in this category. In 2020, Spring Hill Now won first place, while individual stories earned third place and an honorable mention.
