Summer Library Celebrations Set For Tomorrow

The Mobile Public Library’s Summer Library Celebration has been announced for June 3 at 10 a.m.-noon at the Ben May Main Library. There will be activities, music and more to celebrate the community. The theme is “All Together Now.” Vendors will include the Mobile parks and recreation department, History Museum of Mobile, Mobile Carnival Museum, USS Alabama, Mobile Medical Museum, Azalea Trail Maids, Love Your Community, Mobile International Festival and Mobile Botanical Gardens. A “Mini Touch a Truck” event will take place at the kickoff with the Mobile Police Department (patrol car), Mobile Fire-Rescue Department (fire truck), Bookmobile and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The Orange Beach Public Library will host a kickoff party for its summer reading program on June 3 at 10:30 a.m.-noon at the library at 26267 Canal Road. The party will include a waterslide, a bounce house, a splash pad, a movie, crafts and sno-cones. Children may sign up for the program and get a free bag of summer reading items.
