Two Mobile PR Practitioners Named To Accreditation Board

Two Mobile public relations (PR) practitioners have been appointed to seats on the national, 23-member Universal Accreditation Board (UAB) for two-year terms. Marian R. Faulk, director of Marketing at Springhill Medical Center, was appointed for her second two-year term. She is one of two Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) representatives to the UAB and serves on the UAB’s Eligibility & Appeals/Policies & Procedures Workgroup. Dr. Sharee LeBlanc Broussard, director of public affairs & community services for the Mobile County Commission, was also appointed to her second two-year term. She is one of eight Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) representatives and serves on the UAB Workgroup for Examination Preparation. The UAB oversees Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), APR+M for military personnel or contractors and the Certificate in Principles of Public Relations on behalf of a consortium of nine PR organizations: the Asociación de Relacionistas de Puerto Rico, California Association of Public Information Officials, Florida Public Relations Association, Maine Public Relations Council, National Association of Government Communicators, National School Public Relations Association, PRSA, Religion Communicators Council and SPRF.
