WKRG Names Sharod Traffic Anchor

Simone Sharod has been named traffic anchor for WKRG News 5. Sharod is from Meridian, Mississippi. She obtained a BA in communication from Tuskegee University. After graduating, she spent a few years working as a production assistant in the film and television industry in New Orleans. Sharod will be working alongside anchors Bill Riales and Shamonee Baker and meteorologists John Nodar and Caroline Carithers on WKRG News 5 This Morning. She will also work with anchor Devon Walsh and Carithers on WKRG News 5 at 9 a.m. and anchor Cherish Lombard and Chief Meteorologist Ed Bloodsworth on The 4 on 5. Finally, she will team up with Walsh, anchor Peter Albrecht and Bloodsworth on WKRG News 5 at 5 p.m
