Alabama Power Workers Help Restore Citronelle Park

Ten members of the Alabama Power Service Organization who work at the Barry Steam Plant in Bucks recently partnered with the City of Citronelle to make improvements to the Citronelle Playground, Call News reports. Work included pressure washing, painting, landscaping and maintenance over a two-day period. The nonprofit is made up of more than 5,000 Alabama Power and other Southern Company employees and family members. It has recently completed volunteer projects at Feeding the Gulf Coast, Satsuma City Schools, the Mulherin Custodial Home and the Special Olympics.
