Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center Fundraisers Announced

The 2023 Baldwin County Home Builders Association (BCHBA) Fishing Tournament benefiting the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center/CARE House is taking place on August 19 from daybreak until 2 p.m. The entry fee is $40 per angler 18 and older and $20 per angler 18 and younger. Featured species are speckled trout, redfish, flounder, white trout and tripletail. Anglers may launch from any location and fish from a boat, bank or pier. Weigh-in is at the American Legion Hall Beach in Fairhope at 1-2 p.m., when food and a cash bar will be available. Entry fees must be paid, and entry forms (one for each angler) must be turned in to BCHBA by August 17.

The Summerdale-based nonprofit is also hosting its Fall Gala on November 2 at the Coastal Arts Center in Orange Beach to raise funds for child abuse victims in Baldwin County. This inaugural event will feature live music, a special speaker, food, drinks and a silent auction. Funds will be used to help the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center/CARE House continue to provide life-changing services for local children in crisis. Tickets are $100, and various levels of sponsorship are available. Those who would like to donate an item for the silent auction may email with donation information or click here.
