Battle Of The Bowls Fundraiser Announced

The Sea Glass Initiative, a Foley-based nonprofit with a mission to provide hope to the homeless, is presenting the inaugural Battle of the Bowls food cookoff on February 9 at 12-3 p.m. at The Gulf in Orange Beach. “It’s a chance for folks to come and pregame before the Big Game by enjoying some fantastic food—all of which has to be served in a bowl—and drinks and entertainment, all while raising money for charity!” Sea Glass said. Categories for the contest are “Best Entree,” “Best Dessert,” “People’s Choice Award,” “Best Use of Halls Sausage” and “Most Creative.” Cooking team registration is $10, and sponsorships start at $150. For more information, contact Penny Hughey at email or phone: 423-595-6568.
