Boyington Oak Festival Announced For May

The Historic Mobile Preservation Society is holding the 4th Annual Boyington Oak festival on May 4-5 at the Historic Oakleigh House Museum in Mobile. The Boyington Oak Society will also perform the sixth production of its annual three-act play, The Truth Is in the Tree. Written by Mary S. Palmer, president of the Boyington Oak Society, it follows Remembrances: Charles R.S. Boyington, a play also written by Palmer. Both are based on Palmer’s book, Boyington Oak: A Grave Injustice. Tickets for the play are $20, and the festival also includes a Gulf Coast trolley tour ($25), a tour of Oakleigh ($10), an autographed book ($20), drinks and food. A package price for all of these items is $55. Reservations may be made via the Historic Mobile Preservation Society’s website and email.
