Community Foundation Of South Alabama Luncheon Announced

The Community Foundation of South Alabama’s 2023 Annual Luncheon will be held on April 21 at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa. The event is to celebrate community, recognize leadership and service, and focus on the year ahead. The keynote speaker is Dr. Lauren Alexander Augustine, executive director of the Gulf Research Program at the National Academy of Sciences. Augustine is responsible for overseeing all aspects of management and use of the criminal settlement funds from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill that were entrusted with the National Academies by the federal government. This includes fulfilling the vision; defining the strategic direction; and leading the development and implementation of this multidimensional, science-based program. Herb Malone will be honored as the 2023 Ann and Fred Delchamps Distinguished Philanthropist Award recipient. Tickets are $65.
