DISLF Fundraiser Coming Up

The Dauphin Island Sea Lab Foundation (DISLF), which supports the Dauphin Island Sea Lab in its mission to provide wise stewardship of the marine environment through education and research, is holding Cocktails with the Critters, its major fundraiser, on May 7 at 6-9 p.m. at the Bluegill Restaurant in Spanish Fort. There will be live music, hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer. Sponsorships are being accepted, and a portion of the proceeds raised will be used to fund student scholarships and other projects at the sea lab. An associated virtual silent auction is being held on May 3-6 with more than 100 items including original artwork, jewelry, home items, trips including guided Gulf of America fishing trips and vacation properties. Tickets are $60 in advance and $65 at the door.
