Festival Of Flowers Coming Up

MOBILE, Ala. — This year’s Festival of Flowers fundraiser for the Ascension Providence Foundation will showcase life-size living sculptures created by the Mobile area’s teams of florists, nurseries, landscapers, designers and artists on March 11 at 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and March 12-13 at 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Cathedral Square at 300 Conti Street in Mobile. With a theme of “by land, air, & sea,” it will include shopping, seminars and an exotic car show on March 12 at 9-11 a.m. There will also be “Art in the Garden” featuring original local works, seminars and demonstrations for the home and garden, and the band Yeah Probably will perform. Additionally, a ticketed Buds & Brews starts at 5:30 p.m. on March 12 and features Johnny Hayes and the Loveseats, beer and light food.
