Fisher Named To Women Who Shape The State List

AL.com reports that Leevones Gillespie Fisher, who serves as executive director and cofounder at Bay Area Women Coalition, Inc., has been named a 2026 Women Who Shape the State honoree. In her role, she helps provide first-time housing for more than 60 low-income residents in Mobile County. She credits her time in the Mobile Leadership class in the early 2000s as a pivotal moment for her career, as well as when, in 2002, she won the Federal Bureau of Investigation Director’s Leadership Award. This Is Alabama will celebrate the 2026 Women Who Shape at a luncheon on March 5 at The Club in Birmingham.
