Flourish Community Opens Center In Daphne

DAPHNE, Ala. — Flourish Community, a nonprofit serving teen girls from under-resourced communities in Mobile and Baldwin counties, recently opened its community center in Daphne, the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce announced. Started in fall 2020, Flourish has a mission to equip and empower teen girls aged 13-18. The girls attend weekly workshops on personal development and career preparation. Each girl is also offered a local woman mentor to meet with her. The free program includes career and additional education for participants aged 15-18 years, focusing on soft skills and career preparation. The organization also sells its own clean-burning soy candles with custom labels for local businesses at a wholesale price.
