Gulf Shores Launches Nonprofit Grants Program

The City of Gulf Shores has launched a nonprofit grants program to support eligible nonprofits that provide direct services to the community, Mullet Wrapper reported. Nonprofits may apply for up to $2,000 per grant cycle (with a maximum of $4,000 per year) to help fund projects. Applications for the fall cycle will be accepted through August 15. Nonprofits do not need to be physically located within Gulf Shores. The funds may be used for project-based needs, events or critical resources but cannot go toward salaries, debt service or political lobbying.
