HFHSWA Kicks Off Women Build

The Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Alabama (HFHSWA) has announced the launch of Women Build 2026 with an event on October 29 at HFHSWA’s office at 3712 Airport Boulevard in Mobile. Women will be able to learn more about how to participate, organize and join teams, become sponsors or volunteer to help make another woman’s dream of homeownership come true. Resources are available to guide them through fundraising, earning incentives and rolling up their sleeves. The team that raises the most funds will present keys to the new home at the Women Build dedication. Teams have already started organizing, and HFHSWA expects to break ground on its 242nd house build next spring. Men are welcome to join alongside the women as teammates, supporters, sponsors and volunteers, but the women are in charge.
