HFI Donates $200,000 To Dumas Wesley, The Salvation Army

Mobile’s Housing First, Inc. (HFI) has announced $200,000 in charitable donations to the Dumas Wesley Community Center and The Salvation Army, which it partnered with two years ago. The checks, totaling $100,000 each, will help fund The Salvation Army’s Family Haven in Mobile in providing emergency shelter for homeless families and offer life skills needed to maintain permanent housing and help fund the Dumas Wesley Community Center’s 13-unit Baldwin Family Village in Fairhope that provides transitional housing and support services for women and children experiencing homelessness. HFI said the donations reinforce “our shared mission of addressing homelessness in Mobile and Baldwin counties.”
