Hot Trot For ARC Fundraiser Tomorrow

After its 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19, LuLu’s Gulf Shores is presenting the Annual Doc’s Hot Trot for ARC Baldwin County 5K run/walk and 1-mi. fun run on November 6, GulfCoastNewsToday.com reports. The 5K race kicks off at 8 a.m. followed immediately by the 1-mi. fun run at approximately 9 a.m. The course is flat, quick and certified. Awards will be given for various age groups and divisions. One of the oldest road course events in Baldwin County, it took place for 37 consecutive years before last year’s cancellation. So far, the 2021 event has surpassed the total raised through sponsorships in 2019, and organizers are hoping more runners will sign up to help benefit the nonprofit, which works to ensure appropriate and quality services are available and accessible to persons with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities. Registration is still available and costs $20 for students in grades K-12 and $25 for adults.
