HUD Funding Application, Event Announced

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released a fiscal year 2023 notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for homeless assistance through HUD’s Continuum of Care Program. As the collaborative applicant for the Homeless Coalition of the Alabama Gulf Coast, Housing First, Inc. of Mobile is accepting proposals for new projects that wish to use this funding for homeless assistance. Newly proposed and renewal projects will compete for available funds. All projects meeting threshold requirements will be eligible for prioritization for funding by the Homeless Coalition of the Alabama Gulf Coast. HUD will then award funds based on the application score and project criteria as outlined in the NOFO. A public meeting will be held on August 9 at 3 p.m. at the Ben May Public Library Auditorium in Mobile. Interested parties are encouraged to attend and may RSVP to Sharon Algood at email.
