JLM Scholarship, Assistance Fund Deadlines Announced

The Junior League of Mobile (JLM) recently announced that applications are open for its Young Woman Community Leadership Scholarship. It is designed for young women in their senior year of high school in both Mobile and Baldwin counties who demonstrate excellence in and have commitment to voluntarism and improving their community, demonstrate creative actions that reach out to and motivate others, demonstrate a commitment to continuing their education and have at least one year’s experience as a volunteer within the community. The deadline to submit is May 12. This date is also the deadline for nonprofits to apply to JLM’s Community Assistance Fund, which enables the organization to respond financially to needs and opportunities within its impact area of children’s hunger, nutrition and fitness.
