Port City Pacers Announces March Events

MOBILE, Ala. — The Port City Pacers has announced its annual Battle of Mobile Bay 5K and Azalea Trail Run for next month. The former, to benefit Historic Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island, is being held at the fort on March 5, with the race starting at 8:10 a.m. Several awards will be presented at approximately 9:30 a.m. The latter, which is part of the Azalea Trail Run Health and Fitness Expo, is being held on March 25-26 at Fort Conde in Mobile. There are 10K, 5K and 2K runs beginning at 8, 8:20 and 9:30 a.m., respectively, on March 26. Awards for the top 10 males and females in 10-year age groups for the 10K and the top five males and females in five-year age groups for the 5K will be presented at approximately 10:30 a.m. There will also be food, beverages and live music after the race.
