Radcliff Named Love Your Community Coordinator

Keep Mobile Beautiful has named Miranda Radcliff program coordinator for Love Your Community, Mobile County’s award-winning litter abatement, beautification and environmental stewardship program. Radcliff, who has served for several years as a Love Your Community team leader, brings firsthand experience with the program and its volunteers. She will lead volunteer recruitment and management; coordinate community events; oversee marketing and communications; and provide educational outreach to schools, municipalities and community organizations. Love Your Community launched in 2018 to engage residents in tackling litter, protecting local waterways and beautifying communities throughout Mobile County. After pausing during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program relaunched on Earth Day 2021 with a time-bank model that allows participating teams to earn grant funding for community improvement projects based on their volunteer hours. Since the relaunch, approximately 250 teams have participated, earning approximately $75,000 in grants for community improvement projects through volunteer work that includes litter cleanup, beautification, recycling and other environmental stewardship activities in public spaces.
