Ransom Ministries Expands Program

Chickasaw-based Ransom Ministries recently expanded its Road to Work program to two crews. The program is an employment opportunity for those experiencing homelessness that provides a solution to issues in the community. In the first quarter of 2024, the crews removed 19,727 lb. of roadside litter and debris. In 2023, the first full year of the program, 43,673 lb. of litter was collected and disposed of properly. In addition, after three months on the crew, participants have the option to move into Ransom’s ReProgram and Recycling programs and take advantage of the nonprofit’s other training services.
