Ransom Ministries’ Programs Grow In 2021

CHICKASAW, Ala. — Chickasaw-based nonprofit Ransom Ministries recently announced that it completed its third consecutive year in the black in 2021, with revenues of more than $560,000, 59% of which were generated from its Ransom ReProgram and Ransom Recycling employment social enterprises. During the year, 91 participants graduated from Ransom Reprogram, a job readiness and soft skills training program that helps participants overcome barriers to employment. Ransom Recycle, which recycles old, unwanted, broken and outdated electronics, employed 25 and placed 23 with outside employers. Ransom’s target for 2022 is for its employment social enterprises to generate 75% of its budgeted revenues, Executive Director Matt Armbruster explained. He added that the programs are open to men and women of all faiths or no faith.
