Rubber Ducky Regatta Coming To OWA In March

The Rubber Ducky Regatta, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile, is returning on March 22 to OWA in Foley for its second year. Up to 10,000 adopted rubber ducks will be dropped into the lake at OWA and race to the finish line. The top three “ducky adopters” will win prizes including a Carnival cruise, a $1,000 Rouses gift card, two season passes to Tropic Falls at OWA, two tickets to see the Red Clay Strays at The Wharf Amphitheater on July 5 and a one-year membership to Rich’s Car Wash. The day’s festivities will begin at 11 a.m. with family-friendly activities and games, bounce houses, music, specials at Downtown OWA stores and restaurants, and more. There will then be the inaugural Rubber Ducky Pickleball Tournament, a Jeep show and Jeep decorating contest, cooking demonstrations and a Ronald McDonald House scavenger hunt. The theme for the Jeep decorating contest is “Superheroes” in recognition of the heroic strength displayed by hospitalized children and their families. “Duck adoption packages” range from one for $5 to 100 for $350.
