The Haven Fundraiser Set For September 25

Fairhope-based nonprofit The Haven no-kill animal shelter will host its second annual Tails of Hope Gala on September 25 at The Venue at 105 South Section Street in Fairhope. The cocktail-style celebration will run from 6-9:30 p.m. to commemorate 25 years of The Haven. Its main fundraiser, the gala supports shelter and rescue programs such as medical care, adoptions, community outreach, low-cost spays/neuters and community initiatives. This year’s event also honors the legacy of Dr. Theresa Marshall, The Haven’s founder. It will feature live entertainment by Mr. Big & the Rhythm Sisters, a high-energy jazz and R&B band known for their interactive, crowd-pleasing performances. There will be a signature cocktail, a variety of beverages and hors d’oeuvres catered by Tamara’s Downtown. Cherish Lombard of WKRG News 5 and Glenn “Qtip” Johnson of Cumulus Media will return as co-emcees.
