UWSWA Day Of Caring Announced

The United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) will hold its 29th Annual Day of Caring on April 28. Volunteers will paint and make repairs, plant trees and ready gardens for planting, sort food donations and help UWSWA agencies complete projects for which they do not have the time or resources for throughout the year. Volunteers are also given the opportunity to hear the stories of those whose lives have been impacted as a result of these agencies. This year, participating teams will take on a combination of virtual and in-person projects. Organizations are invited to volunteer in what UWSWA calls “one of the region’s largest single [days] of volunteerism.” For questions or to schedule an Individual Day of Caring for your organization, contact Lindsay Lum at phone: 251-431-0108.
