Calagaz Now Making Desk Defenders

Calagaz Printing is now making “desk defenders” to keep students safe in the classroom, according to NBC 15. Students can use them as a layer of protection by opening them and setting them on their desks or other location. The defenders use the same plastic used in medical settings and are portable. The products’ manufacture takes advantage of a plastic surplus and comes after shifting to medical face shield production when COVID-19 began to loom large in March. They are designed in different sizes for all desks and tables. While they can be purchased individually, they are also budgeted so schools can purchase them with funds from the CARES Act. So far, Calagaz has printed approximately 5,000.
