Lamar Advertising Celebrates 120 Years

Lamar Advertising is celebrating 120 years of helping national and local businesses and brands engage audiences. Headquartered in Baton Rouge, the local Lamar office is on Halls Mill Road in Mobile and provides an extensive inventory of bulletins, posters and digital displays. Lamar went public in 1996 with $102 million in annual revenues, a stock price of $16 per share, 800 employees and a market cap of approximately $500 million. In 2022, Lamar’s annual revenues are expected to exceed $2 billion. It has 3,500 employees, and its market cap exceeds $8 billion. It now has 155,000-plus billboards in 46 states.
