68 Ventures Donates Large Swathe Of Land To Daphne

68 Ventures has donated 258.42 acres to the City of Daphne, which will annex it, Gulf Coast Media reported. The undeveloped residential land is on the south side of Highway 90 and east of Highway 181 behind the Reserve at Plantation Hills subdivision. The property’s southern border extends to the Daphne city limit line. The appraised value of the five-lot parcel is $6.2 million. Two lots include large sections of wetland areas, one of which Fish River and Turkey Branch flow through. All closing costs and costs associated with title insurance are to be paid by 68 Ventures. Mayor Robin LeJeune said, “The plan is we have no plan for the 258 acres. It is a great asset to the city, and we are very excited and really appreciative of the donation to the city and the future it could hold. At some point, we would love to see a park or something out there from the City of Daphne to engage the community.”
