68 Ventures Finalizes Sale Of Truland Homes To D.R. Horton

68 Ventures has announced that it finalized the sale of Truland Homes, the largest private homebuilder on the Gulf Coast, to D.R. Horton, effective June 30. D.R. Horton officials say they plan to combine Truland’s operations with current D.R. Horton platforms in Baldwin County and Northwest Florida. “Leading Truland Homes over the last 13 years has been the most rewarding experience of my professional career,” said Nathan Cox, founder and CEO of 68 Ventures and Truland Homes. D.R. Horton Inc. says it has been the largest homebuilder by volume in the U.S. since 2002. Headquartered in Daphne, 68 Ventures is the parent company for numerous operating businesses along the Gulf Coast that focus on development, investment and construction.
