Baldwin County Passes New Subdivision Regulations

After nearly a year of planning and recent public input, the Baldwin County Commission passed amendments to the county’s subdivision regulations in early January, FOX10 reports. There was some opposition from developers and realtors, but others praised the regulations. The new proposed subdivision regulations have been in the works for many months and saw a vote tabled in October 2024 to allow for more public input. The revisions are 159 pages long and have wide scope. The commission unanimously passed the new regulations, giving new standards to the former policy, which was more than a decade old. The new set of rules will only apply to development applications submitted after the vote.
