Baldwin County Real Estate Update

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — The Baldwin Realtors reports a year-over-year decrease in total properties sold in August for both “Resort” and “Traditional Residential” areas in Baldwin County. Sales volume for all properties decreased by more than $32 million. “Resort” saw a 24.4% decrease in total properties sold, with average days on market (DOM) increasing slightly to 37 days, in comparison to 35 days in 2021. Average sales price increased to $707,427 for “Resort,” but its “single-family homes (excluding condos)” subtype decreased year-over-year in this statistic by 5.8%. “Traditional Residential” also saw a decrease to 474 properties sold this past month—a 17% decrease from 2021’s 571 properties. Average DOM was one day less than the year prior at just 21 days from “Active” to “Pending” status. The average sales price for this area increased from the year prior to $390,774.
