Baldwin Real Estate Continuing To See Increases

Baldwin REALTORS Multiple Listing Service (MLS) reported significant year-over-year increases for May for average sales price, new listings and closed sales in both the “Resort” and “Traditional Residential” markets of Baldwin County. “Traditional Residential” saw average sales price increase 22.7% from May 2020. There were 727 new listings and 562 closed sales for this area in the past month. May 2020 only saw 621 new listings and 411 closed sales. Additionally, the figure for average days on market (DOM) continues to sit extremely low at 36 days (compared to 66 days in 2020). “Resort” saw a 25.1% increase in average sales price from the previous year, and closed sales increased by 79.6%. New listings increased from 290 in May 2020 to 338 this past month. Average “Resort” DOM also saw a significant drop – by 47% – resulting in just 44 DOM.
