Container Shipping Company Signs Lease In Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. — SRS Real Estate Partners ’ Birmingham office has announced a new lease for Cleveland-based ContainerPort Group, Inc. , which will be occupying 3,000 ft2 in the Waterman-Smith Building at 61 St. Joseph Street in Mobile. ContainerPort Group is a 45-year-old provider of services to the container shipping industry. Its operations include motor carrier services and terminal services (depot, container yard, equipment maintenance and rail ramp operations) to shipping lines, railroads, shippers/receivers and freight intermediaries, with a concentration on international cargoes. A subsidiary of World Shipping, Inc., ContainerPort Group operates facilities and terminals throughout the Midwest, Ohio Valley, Northeast, Southeast and Gulf Coast. Leigh Dale Younce, vice president with SRS, represented ContainerPort Group, while Josh Hall of CRE Mobile represented the landlord in the transaction.
