According to AL.com, construction is underway on Uptown Plaza East, a 6,000-ft2 class-A office building on the corner of East 20th Avenue and East 2nd Street in Gulf Shores, according to Alla Nikitina of Ryals Realty. The project is an expansion of the popular Uptown Plaza Commercial Center at East 20th Avenue. The new building will have up to three separate units and a possible drive-thru and should be completed by the end of the year. In Mobile, Cornerstone Caregiving has leased 1,644 ft2 at 3201 Dauphin Street, according to Leigh Rendfrey of CRE Mobile, who represented the senior home care service. The landlord was represented by Chris Harle of White-Spunner Realty. In Orange Beach, the Phoenix West II condominium complex has been renamed to The Oasis of Orange Beach. Unit owners voted to change the name of the 32-story complex on Perdido Beach Boulevard. Developed by Brett Robinson and completed in 2013, it has 358 units. A third pool, an outdoor bar and grill and a splash pad are to soon be added to the existing amenities, which feature a lazy river. In Fairhope, local investors paid $426,000 for 14.4 acres off Highway 181, according to Herrington Realty.
