Gulf Shores Named Top Place To Buy A Beach House By Vacasa

GULF SHORES, Ala. — Portland, Oregon-based international vacation rental management company Vacasa has listed Gulf Shores as No. 1 in its most recent list of the “The 10 Best Places to Buy a Beach House in 2022,” released in March. The report notes that a Gulf Shores vacation home or condo will cost around $400,000 but can yield a cap rate (yearly rate of return on investment) exceeding 10%. Each year, Vacasa publishes multiple reports on top places to buy a vacation home. These lists take a look at the top destinations to purchase a vacation rental property, while others focus on more specific types of homes—namely, beach or lake houses and winter vacation homes. It ranks destinations by cap rate using both Vacasa’s proprietary and market data.
