According to AL.com, businesses planning to open in Foley include Cheeseburger Randy’s at 209 South Alston Street, and the former Fortis College building on Laurel Avenue is being renovated for Camellia Dermatology. Also in Foley, developers plan to add new townhomes to the Live Oak Village retirement community off Cedar Street, according to city planning. The 20 lots cover 8.23 acres. Live Oak Village offers independent and assisted-living options. Also in Foley, an out-of-town investor paid $2.168 million for a new Dollar General store at 15765 Highway 59, according to Andrew Chason of Marcus & Millichap, who handled both sides of the transaction. In Theodore, a developer paid $550,000 for 1.15 acres at 7071 Theodore Dawes Road next to Waffle House, according to Herrington Realty, which handled the transaction. The buyer intends to build an Urgent Care facility there, near the Theodore Dawes exit off Interstate 10. In Mobile, an investor paid $170,000 for a 3,192-ft2 building at 5300 Overlook Road, according to Leigh Dale Younce and Chris Harle of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the seller. Joselyne Ridings of Ridings Realty worked for the buyer.
