In Downtown Fairhope, Southern Tide plans to open its first retail store in Alabama later this year and has leased the first floor of a new mixed-use building at 412 Fairhope Avenue, according to Jeff Barnes of Stirling Properties, who represented the landlord. Triple R Group worked for the clothing retailer. In Orange Beach, Blue Marlin Getaway, a waterfront duplex with boat slips at 26077 Marina Road will be offered for sale at auction at 11 a.m. on March 16, according to American Auctioneers based in Centre, Alabama. The duplex sits on a deepwater canal with access to Terry Cove, the gulf and the Intracoastal Waterway. Unit A comes furnished with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and Unit B has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. In Gulf Shores, watch for a 95-unit TownePlace Suites by Marriott to be developed at 1550 West 2nd Street in Gulf Shores, according to city planning. The four-story hotel will be built in the city’s Midtown area.
