According to AL.com, local developers paid $450,000 for 35 acres on County Road 16 in Foley next to the Hidden Lakes subdivision, according to Pratt Thomas and Daryl Cleworth of Merrill P. Thomas Co., who handled the transaction. The property will be developed in two phases by D.R. Horton as a 119-lot subdivision called Kipling Meadows. In Magnolia Springs, investors paid $475,000 for a mobile home park on more than an acre at 14775 Cedar Street, according to Renee Beasley of Herrington Realty. In Gulf Shores, developers are seeking final subdivision plat approval for phase 1 of The Village at Craft Farms off County Road 8 in Gulf Shores, according to the planning commission. The subdivision will feature 84 lots on 35 acres.
In Mobile, Infinity Liquor leased 2,400 ft2 of retail space in Vigouroux Marketplace at 9948 Airport Boulevard and plans to open this spring, according to Angie McArthur of Stirling Properties. At 3725 Airport Boulevard, Accel Academy is seeking planning approval to locate the charter secondary school in the Festival Center, according to the Mobile Planning Commission.
